2017, Our best year yet!
It's December 31st
, I am sitting in my living room thinking about what we’ve done in the motorcycle guided tour field this year and frankly, I never dreamed TAMARBIKES
would accomplish so much, what did we have?!
We toured 4 continents this year: Africa
, South America
- some more than once.
We continued establishing and building the TAMARBIKES brand with the unique offering
of our tours
. These included besides in-depth route planning, major sites and attractions, professional tour leaders, support vehicle for luggage and hand-picked accommodation, also a selected offering of local cuisine and in-depth cultural interactions.
Each tour also came with, top of the line maps, the Tamarbikes combination of tour Dri-fit T-Shirt and the TAMARBIKES Base-Ball cap and a changing variety of giveaways. This year we introduced an option to purchase a tour Soft-Shell Jacket, which turned out to be a great success.
We are also gradually becoming a world leader in self-guided tours
, a popular product line expanding alongside the growth of our guided tours. We entertained guests crossing France, Africa and Greece, solo or in small groups - all routes and accommodation prearranged by TAMARBIKES. All riders and pillions returned with amazing stories and feedback.
On our Morocco tour
, we visited the largest desert on earth taking a ride and an overnight in the Sahara Desert. Together with 10 days of great riding, part gravel, we got to know better this amazing country and its friendly people.
Later this year we visited the highest village on earth, Komic, as part of our Himalaya Adventure
. Manali, the Spiti Valley, and the Kinnaur Valley were all part of an exceptional and grueling ride. Much of this route runs high over 3000m (9000 ft.) with peaks above 4500m (13,500 ft.), with beauty beyond imagination but also some challenges to overcome. Certainly, a must for any rider whether of the more adventurous type or less.
The end of this year was about reaching the ‘Ends of the Earth’! Our Patagonia and Tierra-del-Fuego adventure
took us to the most southern city on earth, Ushuaia, also known locally as ‘Fin Del Mundo’. This, once in a lifetime ride also took us on the longest national road on earth - Argentina’s AR40 - and to some of the most famous natural attractions on earth such as the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Torres del Paine national park, certainly one of the top 10 in the world.
What’s up for 2018?!
There is a wider availability of all these fabulous adventures for 2018. However, tours are filling up fast even as we speak. The TAMARBIKES offering is going to expand with additional destinations varying from the Leh-Ladak in the Himalayas
, through Rajasthan in India, Peru Bolivia Argentina high Andes
and to a Vietnam
